Unity Vulnerability Patches
Published October 4, 2025
You might've heard that Unity released a statement about a vulnerability that was found in versions of Unity from 2017 onward. That so happens to include DELTATRAVELER. So we've had to take some measures regarding it.
For one, regarding the builds that are officially available, we found that only the Windows and macOS versions (or in the Mac's case, version) were of any issue. v3.0.12's Windows builds were successfully patched, Linux (every single version of the game for the platform) didn't possess the vulnerability in a meaningfully dangerous way, and v3.0.10's Android build did not need to be patched. So we only focused on Windows and macOS.
All official builds that are available for download on the official website, the official Game Jolt page, and the official itch.io page should be safe. We've also gone ahead and rebuilt the Windows and macOS versions of v3.1.0 Preview Build 6, though we took down all Windows versions of the previous preview builds for obvious reasons.
Regarding builds that are archived by third parties, I would be cautious about entertaining those. Every previous version of the Windows version would have the vulnerability, and I cannot guarantee that the Android builds from v1.01 to v2.05 don't have the vulnerability, as those used an even older version of Unity than the current release version.
That's kinda it. I imagine this isn't the only game you've seen patch this stuff, so it's probably not very exciting news. Next devlog should be WAY more in-depth, as big things are happening over here.
