DELTATRAVELER - v3.1.0 Preview Build 5
Published August 8, 2025
Hello! It's been a hot minute, and we've been working on the new Refresh Update. But we realized something; the vSync setting is having issues that we're unsure of the cause of. So we decided to make a new preview build to alleviate that. For those wondering about these preview builds having content updates; That will not be happening anymore.
This new preview build uses an older version of the codebase than what we have right now (this is based on a version of the codebase from April), but with a new addition: In the Options menu lies a new setting called "vSync Debug", which will show information about what Unity sees from your monitor setup. With that, go in game with both that and vSync on, and if the weird speed issue occurs, let us know with a screenshot or video of the incident, as well as what platform you're on, though our email (deltatraveler AT vyletbunni.com)
Actually, there are TWO builds for this preview. The first (Preview Build 5a) uses what Unity sees as "MONITOR 0" to pull the refresh rate from. The second (Preview Build 5b) uses what Unity sees as "MAIN MONITOR" to pull the refresh rate from. Try both out and let us know which works better for you.
Like the last build, this new one will be located in the "Other Downloads" section of the site.
Obligatory reminder that THIS IS AN INCOMPLETE VERSION OF THE GAME. There are things that may be BROKEN and could corrupt your SAVE files!!! If you choose to participate in public testing, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you backup your SAVE files.
On Windows, the SAVE directory is in the %userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\VyletBunni\DELTATRAVELER
On Linux, the SAVE directory is in the $HOME/.config/VyletBunni/DELTATRAVELER
(You can also find your older saves untouched in the RynoGG directory)

- Fixed an issue with the overworld party member system that would've been an issue in future sections.

Expect any future v3.1.0 preview builds to be based on this version. That is to say, primarily existing to fix the vSync issue and nothing else. At this point, we don't want future content updates to be delivered via this method, since we're changing so much in v3.1.0 now. Future preview builds for this update are likely just going to be fixing large issues, like the vSync setting.
I do have a new status update in the works, so I hope to have that out soon. Until then, see ya!
